NFTs (on Ethereum and others) are more like receipts. You buy a token that points to your art or file—usually stored somewhere else.
Bitcoin Ordinals are the real deal. The actual content (image, text, code, etc.) is directly inscribed on the Bitcoin blockchain—forever. No pointers, no middlemen.
Most NFTs still depend on third-party storage like IPFS or private servers. That means the image or file can be changed, moved, or even deleted—and you'd still be holding just a token with a broken link.
